From his iconic "Study of Perspective" series, beginning in 1995 and evolving into its current iteration in the 2023 digital crowd-sourced platform collaboration with Amsterdam-founded organisation Avant Arte, Ai Weiwei spurs people worldwide to speak truth to power. His use of technology has sparked positive change and united voices against injustice.
From his European base in Montemor-o-Novo in Portugal, Ai Weiwei's artistic explorations transcend geographical boundaries, elevating powerful narrative in pursuit of justice and compassion in European society, From his Kickstarter funded ‘Good Fences Make Good Neighbours’ in Stockholm, to his ‘Law of the Journey’ sculpture of a refugee lifeboat in Prague, Ai Weiwei’s work explores themes of a borderless world and highlights Europe’s most pressing issues.

From her pioneering use of telemedicine to deliver early, safe abortion remotely through Aid Access, to her audacious efforts in deploying drones and sea voyages to offer reproductive healthcare in rural, restricted, and dangerous areas where access to reproductive healthcare is limited or prohibited.
With Women on Waves and Aid Access, Dr. Gomperts has not only provided essential medical care but also championed the dissemination of reliable information and support through digital platforms. Her use of social media and the internet as tools for empowerment has empowered individuals to take control of their reproductive choices, fostering a sense of agency and autonomy.
In the face of legal challenges and attempts to obstruct her work, Dr. Gomperts has remained steadfast, advocating tirelessly for the principle that safe abortion is a fundamental human right.
